Dear First Grade Spanish Parents,

We’re excited to (re) introduce ourselves as your First Grade Spanish Room Parents! Our role is to help keep communication flowing between teachers and families by sharing classroom updates, school events, PTCC communication and volunteer opportunities (like mystery reader, class art project for the GLOBE auction, other classroom projects, etc.). We’ll also keep the class connected through our Facebook page. 

Many of you have already asked about Mystery Readers and ways to support our teachers. We’re working with our Teachers on these topics and will provide an update very soon! 

In the meantime, here’s some general information that may be helpful, especially for new parents:

III. First Grade Spanish: Opt-in to Shared Class Directory
Please note that not all parents have granted permission via school enrollment forms to share their contact information. To comply with school guidelines, we’ll use BCC for all our communication with class Parents (emails provided to us by the GLOBE registrar’s office). Now that we’re in a new school year, we need to re-collect consent from those who wish to opt-in to our shared Class Directory. To choose to share your info with the First Grade Spanish track families you can opt-in through this Google Form.

Important things to note:

1. Completing this form is NOT MANDATORY. If you don’t complete the form, you will still receive updates from teachers, the PTCC, and Room Parents. However, your information won’t be shared with other families in the First Grade Spanish track (e.g., for birthday invitations).
2. By completing this form, your information will be added to a Google Sheet accessible to anyone with the link. This link will be sent to the email addresses provided to the Room Parents by the GLOBE registrar’s office.
3. Room Parents are not permitted to forward messages to the larger group regarding birthday invites or social gatherings. We are only allowed to share information regarding school-related activities open to the entire class. If you need to send birthday invites, schedule play dates, etc., please use the contact information in the Class Directory and reach out to those families directly.
4. If you change your mind after completing the form and don’t want your info shared, email us at GlobeAcademySpanish2036@gmail.com, and we’ll remove your info within 72 hours.
